Strong Union: 3-0 win against Heidenheim in the final in sight!

On June 12, 2025, Union Wasseralfingen achieved a convincing win against Heidenheim. With a clear 3-0 win, the team managed to secure a place in the final for the last place in the East Württemberg district league. Coach Jens Christ emphasized team unity as a decisive factor for success. The final game day is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m., where the Union will face TSG Nattheim.

The Union's dominance was noticeable throughout the game. Cemal Krasniqi stood out and scored all three goals for his team. The first goal came in the 25th minute when he easily hit the net after a counterattack set up by Tobias Grosz. Heidenheim hardly had any significant chances in the first half, which was due to Wasseralfinger's controlled style of play. However, coach Christ made a request for a penalty shortly before half-time, which was not accepted.

A clear victory with challenges

Krasniqi's second goal came in the 54th minute again after excellent preparatory work. Despite an increased offensive performance from Heidenheim in the second half, they were unable to make up the deficit. Within the Union, however, the team had to accept a bitter blow as both central defenders had to end the game early due to cramps. In stoppage time, Krasniqi made the final score with his third goal.

A negative highlight of the game was the yellow-red card for Heidenheim's substitute goalkeeper, which reflected the frustration in the team. When asked about exploiting opportunities, Krasniqi was cautious and made it clear that there is always room for improvement. Coach Christ, on the other hand, sees the final against Nattheim as a tough challenge, but encourages his players to be confident in order to take advantage of the title opportunity.

Farewell to a narrow defeat

The second half started stronger and several chances to score were created, but there was no equalizer. This shows how crucial consistent performance is over the entire season, which Union Wasseralfingen is now successfully implementing. With a view to the final, the team is now looking forward to another challenge with confidence.
