SENSATIONAL FESTIVAL: Walheim celebrates with a colorful spectacle!
In Walheim, a small but lively place, the INCREDIBLE is happening! On July 14, 2025, a festival of superlatives hit life there - the two-day Neckar Festival rolled through the streets with a wave of colors, joy and community! The motto “Walheim is colorful” not only applied to the decoration, but also filled the entire event with a spectacular storm of joie de vivre and splendor of color. The big parade on Saturday afternoon was a real feast for the eyes and left no spectator untouched!
But don't be fooled! The “Haus am Bürgergarten” nursing home was among the outstanding participants – and it was more than impressive! 15 residents in wheelchairs, accompanied by ten courageous volunteer caregivers, showed how to participate with style and elegance despite all the challenges. And best of all, all participants were dressed in colorful robes and crazy flower hats, which gave the whole procession a FESTIVAL-like atmosphere!
The sensation of the pageant
Pia Klinger from the Evangelical Home Foundation excitedly said that her nursing home had previously even won FIRST place in the prestigious Neckartreibe! This shows how deeply rooted the idea of competition is in the community. Colleague Jennifer Meinhartdt proudly declared her participation in the pageant - an EVENT that made the audience's hearts beat faster!
The Bietigheim newspaper reports on a parade that was not only colorful but also HEART-TOUCHING. The happy faces of the residents radiated pure joy of life! No wonder that “Walheim is colorful” conveys not just a motto, but an attitude to life!

Encounters over meals together in the living-dining area not only promote social contacts, but also create unforgettable memories. Daily support is provided by a compassionate care team who are tirelessly dedicated to caring for their residents!
