On July 6, 2025, an impressive shooting parade took place in Hanover's city center, with thousands of spectators watching the colorful parade. This special event not only attracted numerous shooting clubs and music groups, but also fire departments and historic vehicles, which took part in a festive parade. As part of this traditional spectacle, filming for a new crime scene also took place. The filming was directed by Maria Furtwängler, who also plays one of the main roles in the episode. This has the working title “Schützenfest” and will be produced in Hanover and Hamburg until the beginning of August. Accompanied by a filming team, the recordings took place at the New Town Hall while the parade was in full swing. In the episode, a murder case is solved that may be linked to other crimes. The murder victim had previously made a mysterious call to the police. Rhine Palatinate added that no further details were released about the shooting club's role in the crime scene in order not to spoil viewers.

The shooting festival in Hanover is considered the largest of its kind in the world and attracts around 900,000 visitors every year. The 496th Schützenfest opened in 2023 and will continue until July 13th.
