Burglary and fire: Crailsheim and Michelbach in misfortune!
On May 31, 2025, several notable incidents occurred in Germany. A break-in was reported on company premises in Crailsheim. Between Wednesday, 4:15 p.m. and Friday, 6:00 p.m., unknown persons broke into Ludwig-Erhard-Straße and stole two lawnmowers. Immediately afterwards, on Friday afternoon around 12:31 p.m., a fire broke out in Michelbach an der Bilz. A tractor caught fire in a hall at the construction yard, and a technical defect was determined to be the main cause. The tractor had not been used for several days and there were no injuries. Nevertheless, there was material damage of around 10,000 euros. The fire department was on site with 20 emergency services and 3 vehicles to extinguish the fire.
Fire brigade operations in Bremen and the surrounding area
At the same time as these incidents, firefighters in Bremen were fighting the flames. On Monday, a fire broke out on a company premises in Überseestadt, where two empty trucks were completely burned out. The smoke wafted over the wholesale market and made residents sit up and take notice. By 5 p.m. the emergency services had the fire under control, supported by around 100 firefighters and 35 vehicles. Thanks to the quick intervention, the fire was prevented from spreading to a warehouse, although material damage is estimated to be more than one million euros. Here too, a technical defect is suspected as the cause of the fire buten and within reported. Residents were asked to keep windows and doors closed to protect themselves from smoke.
