On Saturday, June 15, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the L1144 between Kornwestheim and Remseck, in which a 42-year-old driver of a VW Polo was seriously injured. According to Ludwigsburg24, the accident meant that the two vehicles involved, a motorhome and the Polo, were no longer drivable and had to be towed away.
The accident happened as follows: The 57-year-old driver of the motorhome wanted to turn left and braked, while the Polo presumably drove off without braking. The police temporarily closed the L1144 completely while traffic was diverted one way. Two patrols were on site to investigate the accident and regulate traffic.
