Fun and excitement in Hemmingen: Holiday events from May 29th to June 1st!

Exciting events are coming up in Hemmingen that will attract numerous visitors from May 29th to June 1st, 2025. Particularly noteworthy is the morning pint in Ohlendorf on Thursday, where the band of the Hiddestorf/Ohlendorf Volunteer Fire Department will perform traditional brass music, swing and pop from 10.30 a.m. The fire brigade's support association also provides entertainment for the guests. The event takes place in Ohlendorfer Holz, which can be reached via a dirt road on Ihmer Straße in Hiddestorf. Organizers recommend coming on foot or by bike; entry is free.

On the same day, a hike with the Hemmingen trail team will be offered at 10 a.m. The meeting point is the town hall square in Hemmingen-Westerfeld. The hiking route of around 12 kilometers leads via Devese to Ohlendorfer Holz and back via Bürgerholz. The return is scheduled around 2 p.m., giving participants plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.

Activities for cyclists and game enthusiasts

In addition, the ADFC invites you to a 35-kilometer bike tour around Hemmingen, Pattensen and Laatzen. The meeting point is at 11 a.m. at the town hall square in Hemmingen-Westerfeld, and the tour is expected to end around 3 p.m. Cyclists are called upon to drive defensively and with foresight in order to be safe in traffic, as they are unprotected road users. On Friday at 6 p.m. there will be a games evening in Arnum in the community center at Bockstrasse 33, where participants aged 18 and over are welcome to bring their own board games. Admission is also free, which makes the event particularly attractive.

Family-friendly events and flea market

Sunday, June 1st, is dedicated to the flea market in Harkenbleck, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the allotment gardeners' association. Under the motto “Find treasures and bargains”, visitors can look forward to a bouncy castle for children as well as a gastronomic offer with bratwurst, ham grills and French fries. Entry is free.

At the same time, the Hemmingen-Westerfeld lido will open on Sunday with a children's party from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Here, little guests can expect water games, a wheel of fortune, a bouncy castle and a bobby car course, while DJ Margodt provides musical entertainment. Admission for children up to 3 years is free, for children over 3 years it costs 2 euros and for adults it costs 3.50 euros. The lido is open on weekends from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; weekdays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., although changes are possible depending on the weather.
