Achim Gall invested a total of 250,000 euros in the construction of the swimming pool. The planning stretched over two years and he did most of the work by hand. The pool system has a length of 12.5 meters, is 4.5 meters wide and 2 meters deep. The aim of the facility is to give children the opportunity to learn to swim. To do this, he offers swimming and aquafitness courses every day, which are suitable for both children and adults.

The official opening of the swimming pool was celebrated with a small ceremony, in which around 35 guests, including Mayor Matthias Wittlinger and member of the state parliament Sarah Schweizer, were present. Franzi van Almsick, a multi -award -winning swimming world champion, was also invited to the opening, but could not participate. Despite a water temperature of around 21 degrees, which many guests found too cool, Achim jumped into the water and showed his enthusiasm for the new project.
The admission price for the swimming pool is 3.50 euros. This enables wide accessibility and findability for the residents, which Achim Gall explains as a central motivation for his project. The idea of building a swimming pool in a residential area initially also raised some concerns. Nevertheless, the local authorities, under the leadership of Mayor Matthias Wittlinger, were quickly convinced of the uniqueness and advantages of the project for the community. Financing the project was a challenge for Gall. In order to cover the costs, he sold two condominiums and took up a bank loan. This determined step shows his commitment to improve life in his community and the promotion of sporting activities among younger generations.
