Lilibet's magical hair: what she inherited from mom Meghan!
Prince Harry is making recent headlines after recently speaking about his children's appearance at the WellChild Awards in London. In particular, his daughter Lilibet's thick hair and Prince Archie's reddish hair color were themes of his performance. Loud Gala Harry noted that the children have inherited their mother Meghan's luscious hair. In contrast, he has thinning hair himself and made a humorous comment about Lilibet's long locks.
A new, adorable photo of Lilibet, released on the occasion of Duchess Meghan's fourth birthday, shows her with her long, reddish hair as she sits dreamily in her mother's arms. Another picture shows the little one from behind, in which her long hair is braided into two pigtails. The Sussexes' 2024 Christmas card also impressively shows how much Lilibet's hair has doubled since last year, as it now reaches almost to her shoulders.
WellChild Awards and Harry's commitment
During the WellChild Awards, where Harry praised the winners and their courage, he described the children as "little legends". Hello Magazine reports that the Prince acknowledged the emotional challenges faced by parents of children with complex medical needs and praised their dedication. Harry, who has been a patron for the organization for 16 years, highlighted that WellChild has already supported over 7,000 children and prevented more than 12,000 hospitalizations.
In addition to being a celebratory event, the evening served to share the inspiring stories of young people who have overcome health challenges. The event was attended by notable guests such as Sir Rod Stewart and Julia Bradbury and included entertaining performances from Beverley Knight and Pixie Lott.
A heartfelt moment was meeting Noah Nicholson, a six-year-old boy Harry had met five years ago. Honored for his courage and impressive fundraising efforts, Noah has since undergone 28 surgeries.
The WellChild Awards will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year and the importance of Harry's commitment to raising awareness for affected families is undeniable, as WellChild Managing Director Matt James highlighted.
