Lathen celebrates: Midsummer with music, fun and regional delicacies!

The festival weekend in Lathen is just around the corner and promises an unforgettable experience for all music lovers and families. The traditional festival will take place on June 14th and 15th, 2025 and will feature a varied program and numerous attractions. The festival starts on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. when the Oberlangen boys take the stage. This band combines different styles of music and is sure to create a good atmosphere.

Another highlight on Saturday is the performance of the tribute band Guns Celebration. She delights the audience with hits from Guns N’ Roses such as “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City”. This band's authentic performance and spectacular costumes promise a concert not to be missed by music fans.

Festive activities and cuisine

Sunday begins with a cozy morning pint at 11:00 a.m., which is accompanied musically by the Tinner Jägers. Regional specialties also await visitors in the festival tent, including schnitzel, bratwurst and vegetarian alternatives. Tickets for the lunch menus are available at the guest's house.

Sunday shopping starts at 2 p.m., accompanied by a large street flea market and activities for children. Here the little ones have the opportunity to take part in the Punch and Judy show and various hands-on activities. What's particularly nice: the first 100 children receive free popcorn or cotton candy. Patrik Schäfer, known from “The Great Baking”, provides additional entertainment.

A festival for young and old

The event ends with an impressive show by the dance group “Magic Color Showdance” as well as dance formations from Dörpen and Papenburg. Another highlight will be the raffle with attractive prizes, which will be the culmination of the festival weekend.

A real celebration also includes the appropriate musical accompaniment, as is offered in Berlin with many tribute concerts. Every year, fans flock to performances by well-known cover bands who revive the hits of famous artists. These concerts are a cheaper alternative to the original artists' shows, which often cost over 100 euros, starting with tribute bands for 25 to 40 euros, as berlin-enjoy.com explains.

This year's program includes tribute concerts for Dire Straits, Rolling Stones and Queen. These cover bands make it possible to experience the magic of great music history up close without putting too much strain on your bank account.
