Cruel cruelty to animals: kittens thrown out of car - wanted perpetrator!

A worrying incident in Germany throws shadows on animal welfare. On June 19, a seller discovered a crying kitten on a supermarket car park, which was obviously thrown out of a moving car. The helpful woman immediately called the animal shelter in Altentreptow, where the emaciated and dehydrated animal was treated. According to the director Silke Greier, the kitten has several serious injuries, including a blue eye, a hematoma in the ear and an interrupted nerve on the tail, which indicates considerable abuse, as the Nordkurier reported.

six days later another kitten was found on the B96. Unfortunately, the animal had such serious head injuries that it did not survive. Similar to the first kitten, it was about twelve weeks old and showed striking similarities. Just two days after this incident, a third dead kitten was discovered in the Altentreptower Poststrasse, which was also the first to appear and age. A pattern that Silke Greier classifies as extremely questionable and interprets as a clear indication of the cruel approach of the perpetrator. It describes behavior as inhuman and as a serious violation of the Animal Welfare Act.

similar incidents in other cities

The worrying phenomenon of cruelty to animals is not limited to Altentreptow. Already on October 11, 2023, a similar act became known in Hamburg, in which a kitten was thrown out of a moving car. The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. on Tonndorfer Hauptstraße 61. The kitten, a British short -haired mixed breed cat, also had an older broken leg and was heavily darnated. The Hamburg Animal Welfare Association is looking for witnesses and encouraged to report information by email or by phone, so 24hamburg .

Such incidents show a troubling tendency that goes beyond local borders. In the past, the German Animal Welfare Association has made it clear that such violent acts against animals can result in a prison, fines and even a ban on animal husbandry. It is a call to society to no longer ignore these grievances and to actively work for the protection of animals.
