A similarly committed meeting recently took place at the VdK social association in Meiningen, where Ute Köhler was elected as the new chairwoman. She succeeded Klaus Schüller, who did not run again but remains chairman of the VdK Thuringia-South district association. The annual general meeting took place in the Kressehof Walldorf. Commitment and future strategies
In his speech, Klaus Schüller praised the commitment of the entire management team and particularly highlighted the “Network Care”, an important cooperation between the district office and the VdK. This highlighted the key function that the VdK plays in the local community. District Administrator Peggy Greiser and Mayor Fabian Giesder also emphasized the importance of volunteers and the positive cooperation, which is of central importance for the future work of the local association.
In her speech, Ute Köhler emphasized the importance of a strong team that can tackle future challenges. This also includes the VdK's strategic goals, such as a care campaign, as well as demands for more support in the household and better conditions for those in need of care.
This should give caring relatives more time for their tasks without having to worry about financial worries. "We don't leave anyone alone! Everyone is important to us," Köhler concluded the meeting with a strong appeal.
The current board of the VdK social association in Meiningen is made up of committed members: Holger Rauhut (deputy), Nadine Noack (secretary), Uwe Böttcher (treasurer), Uwe Eckstein (responsible for operational tasks and public relations), Gudrun Müller (junior representative) and Steffi Giesder (women's representative). This shows that the VdK relies on the power of volunteerism in both Vilshofen and Meiningen to continue to create a strong network for its members.
