The anticipation for the spectacle of the year can hardly be contained! The citizen shooting club Mehr 1484 is calling on all shooting fans on the third weekend in July, specifically on July 18th to 21st, 2025, to an incomparable, top-class festival! This shooting festival promises not only festive honors, but also the breathtaking Kaiser Shooting event, which brings together the region's best shooters every five years!
With a family celebration starting on Friday at 3 p.m., the first day will be a real experience for young and old. Not only are there delicious coffee and cakes on offer, but also an exciting children's competition where the little ones can follow in their parents' footsteps. Here you will shoot for sweets with compressed air guns - it will be fun that the children will not soon forget!
INCREDIBLE highlights: disco, honors and more
When dusk falls, the marquee becomes the setting for the legendary beach party! From 9 p.m., guests dance to the best beats, and the adventurous spectacle is only accessible to the brave ones aged 16 and over with a so-called “muti note”. Who will dance, who will celebrate? This is the most awaited question!
Saturday evening brings something very special - after the majestic Great Tattoo at 6 p.m. on the village square, the shooting club's jubilarians will be brought out of obscurity with an honor! And that's not all; The band “Mainstreet” will continue to heat up the party atmosphere and get everyone dancing!
Imperial shooting and coronation ball – a captivating finale
But the real highlights are still to come! On Sunday, July 20th, the honors at the bird perch in the forest are eagerly awaited from 1 p.m. And as if that wasn't enough, the extremely spectacular Imperial Shooting will take place, where the 40 former kings will compete against each other to win the title! We declare: This royal charisma is unrivaled by any other!
Reigning Emperor Horst Reder has held the title for an impressive 10 years, after 2020 came to a standstill due to the pandemic - will he successfully defend it? This question will keep viewers on the edge of their seats!
On Monday, July 21st, the ceremonial enthronement of the new representatives of the churches and the city of Rees will take place at 9 a.m. And how exciting will the enthronement of the new king be at 6:30 p.m.? The big parade on Monday evening will increase the excitement immeasurably, followed by the unforgettable coronation ball with the party cover band “Splash”, who will provide absolutely exceptional entertainment!
Furthermore, the shooting festival is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the wonderful traditions of the shooting clubs. There are over 15,000 shooting clubs active across Germany that keep the cultural heritage alive with their festivities.
