A spectacular spectacle is just around the corner! Next weekend the entire Gundelfingen will literally be on fire – with excitement and anticipation! The sensational fire station at the Gundelfingen fire department's fire station transforms Industriestrasse 25 into a real festival area! [badische-zeitung] reports that Saturday evening and Sunday will be an experience in a class of its own with breathtaking musical acts and a unique children's program!
Imagine: On Saturday the COVERBAND VALLEYTONES rocks the stage and delights the crowd with unforgettable sounds. But that's not all! On Sunday, visitors can expect a musical fireworks display with the Gundelfingen Music Association and other talented music associations. Real goosebumps included!

And the best part? The smaller fire department fans don't miss out either! On Sunday, the youth fire brigade organizes an outstanding children's program that includes water sprays, a huge bouncy castle, refreshing ice cream and delicious treats! There will be surprises that will amaze even the most sophisticated children! An event that you definitely shouldn't miss!
This fire brigade squat is not only a celebration, but also an opportunity to support young talent - and with incredible numbers! In 2024, over 372,000 boys and girls across Germany were active in youth fire departments, a shocking increase of 4.3% compared to the previous year! Behind the scenes of the exciting missions!
But what would a fire station be without a look behind the scenes? Commander Jens Lapp and his crew of around 70 active firefighters are ready to share their knowledge about the fire department's impressive technology, vehicles and equipment. The Gundelfingen fire department, which is tragically small in terms of the size of the community, carries out around 100 alarms every year - so the pressure is enormous! Particularly alarming: around 75% of the missions involve technical assistance!
With seven vehicles, the Gundelfingen fire department provides essential help! But an alarming fact is that with a total of over 48,100 fire departments in Germany, the volunteer fire departments are at the top with over a million members. But over 333 people have tragically lost their lives due to smoke, fire and flames in 2022! [statista]

Despite limited young talent, the Gundelfingen fire department has ambitiously set itself the goal of offering newcomers from the Gundelfingen area the opportunity to become part of this impressive community. This year, around 20,996 young people, including 5,663 girls, are ready to go into active service - an impending vacuum in the fire department could soon be a thing of the past!
