TV Plochingen is deep in crisis: 24:33 defeat against Weinstadt!

In the regional league, TV Plochingen suffered another defeat at the weekend. In the game against SG Weinstadt, the team lost 24:33 after the game had already ended 12:18 for the hosts at halftime. In the opening minutes the game was balanced and after 15 minutes the score was 8:8. But as the encounter progressed, Plochingen was unable to keep up and defended itself in vain against the rhythm of the game from Weinstadt, who continually extended their lead.

After the game, assistant coach Tim Hamann commented on the challenges the team faces. He emphasized that the team is in a development process and such games are normal. In addition to this defeat in front of a home crowd, the previous encounter against TSV Heiningen was also unfortunate, as Plochingen lost 26:28.

Building a competitive team

The new season also brings personnel changes for TV Plochingen. The previous coach had to cancel at short notice for personal reasons, which led to Manfred Haase being hired as the new coach. The squad remains largely unchanged, but the returnees Jasmin Bodenmüller and Elena Funk can be celebrated after their parental leave. Annik Bauer is welcomed as a new team member from Wolfschlugen.

The team not only has to find its way with new faces, but also has to cope with departures. Melanie Schober and Paula Schlee are ending their handball careers, and Franziska Kalayci is also leaving the team for personal reasons. Despite these challenges, those responsible are focusing on tempo play and positional attacks in preparation in order to get into the top three teams in the league this season and fight for the title.

Goals for the upcoming game

The next game for Plochingen is against HSG Wangen im Allgäu. The focus is on fighting for a win in the upcoming home game. Team spirit and mutual support are intended to strengthen the team's core values.
