On Saturday, May 24th, the Alb Fils Clinic in Göppingen will open its doors to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Open House offers a unique opportunity to view the new clinic building before it officially opens. Visitors have the opportunity to explore various areas of the hospital such as the cardiac catheterization laboratory, hybrid operating rooms and the central emergency room.

Particular highlights of the day are interactive stations where visitors can become active themselves. This includes the laparoscopy trainer and the suturing school, as well as a demonstration of the robot-assisted surgical system “daVinci”. In the clinic lecture hall, specialist lectures will be held on current topics such as digitalization in medicine and central supply units. For younger guests there is the teddy bear clinic, where cuddly toys can be examined and treated.

Diverse offers for the whole family

The program is aimed at all generations and offers a diverse range of activities. In addition to the extensive tour offering, there are ongoing hands-on activities and entertainment, such as face painting and craft activities. Physical well-being is also taken care of: food trucks and the “Eichert’s” cafeteria invite guests to enjoy a meal. However, please note that there will be no parking spaces available for visitors on the open day, except for those who are acutely ill.

To make access to the clinic easier, free local public transport (ÖPNV) will be provided in the district on this day. There is also an express shuttle from the central bus station in Göppingen to the clinic, while free park+ride parking spaces with shuttle bus connections every 20 minutes are available.
