A MEGA event is coming up that no one should miss! The community of Schlat is celebrating a SENSATION that will change the cityscape forever! From July 18th to 20th, 2025, citizens can expect a festive weekend that will literally be the PARTY highlight of the year!
The GLORIOUS Anniversary marks the church's impressive 750th anniversary! Schlat's famous festivals are legendary, and this year it's going to be even more spectacular! The organizers, the Schlat Music Club and the Schlat Gymnastics Club, have put together a programmed experience in which ALL age groups will get their money's worth!
SENSATIONAL PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The weekend begins on Friday July 18th with a captivating marquee opening at 7:30pm! The traditional tapping of the barrel takes place at 8 p.m. - the first barrel is tapped to celebrate the day with loud cheers and happy laughter! Afterwards, the legendary SWR3 90s party awaits guests! Who can resist that? Advance sales are breathtakingly affordable at just €8.00 – a real bargain for this price!
Saturday July 19th promises to be even more exciting! The parade with the magnificent children's festival starts at 1:30 p.m.! Imagine the colors, the music and the shining children's eyes! The festival will be filled with exciting activities like climbing tree and bull riding! From 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. we celebrate with captivating brass music and the PARTY PARTY by the band “Just For Fun”! And the best part? Entry is FREE!
INCREDIBLE SECURITY MEASURES
But wait! There are also clear safety precautions to ensure the safety of all participants. In an unprecedented step, security areas will be secured with concrete blocks throughout the parade to prevent unwanted access! Schlat.de reports that the Bachstraße and Kirche bus stops will be temporarily closed on July 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which is an extraordinary measure!
Together with the police, a masterful security concept was developed that takes all eventualities into account. Residents living in the security area will not be able to enter or leave between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to ensure the safety of the event. Such a strict approach is a NEW for the region!
Even ministries like in North Rhine-Westphalia advocate comprehensive security strategies for major events like this mega-event! The framework is designed to the highest safety standards to protect all citizens from danger. In this way, every uncertainty, no matter how small, is absolutely avoided.
The celebrations conclude on Sunday, July 20th with a festive church service and unforgettable musical performances! Another highlight will be the spectacular performance by the South Tyrolean artist Alex Pezzei at 5:00 p.m.!
