Serious motorcycle accident in Esslingen: 25-year-old seriously injured!
On Thursday evening, June 20, 2025, a serious motorcycle accident occurred on Römerstraße in Esslingen, in which a total of three people were injured. At around 7 p.m., a group of four bikers was driving towards the glider airfield when a car tried to turn left near the riding club and braked. The two front motorcyclists, 21 and 24 years old, were able to react in time and stop. However, the 25-year-old motorcyclist in third place recognized the situation too late and collided with the two motorcycles.
The 25-year-old suffered serious injuries in the impact and was immediately taken to hospital. The two men, however, were treated on an outpatient basis in a clinic, although their motorcycles remained roadworthy. The amount of material damage caused is still unclear, as Stuttgarter Nachrichten reports.
Separate accident in Altbach
Just a few days earlier, on Wednesday evening, there was another motorcycle accident in Altbach, a district of Esslingen. At around 9 p.m., two motorcycles collided in a parking lot on “Im Ghai” street, also injuring two people. The police have not yet released any information about the exact nature of the accident or the severity of the injuries, and the investigation is still ongoing. My Stuttgart awaits further details as authorities investigate the incident.
Another warning about road safety
In addition to these two accidents, a 28-year-old cyclist in Weilheim was seriously injured on Tuesday morning when she lost her balance on a gravel path and fell. Here too, she was treated on site and then transported to a hospital. The Esslingen traffic police have started investigations into both accidents and point out the urgent need to be careful when cycling, especially on uneven surfaces and steep embankments.
The events in Esslingen and Altbach are serious reminders of the importance of defensive driving and constant attention in traffic. It remains to be hoped that the injured people will recover soon and future accidents can be prevented through increased safety measures.
