Teenager Jillianne missing after two weeks - back safe and sound!
Ontario Provincial Police have located a missing teenager from the Kincardine region. 15-year-old Jillianne Dixon was reported safe Friday evening after being missing since May 31. The search for the teen had taken on particular urgency because of her previous missing report on April 28, when she was last seen on the upper east side of Owen Sound. Jillianne was found safe again after a short time, which renewed concerns for her well-being.
Police received the missing person report on May 31, when Jillianne was last seen just after midnight on Princes Street in Kincardine. At this point she was wearing white sneakers, black pajama pants and a white blouse. Police believed she could possibly be in the Kincardine area or the city of London. Thanks to the public's support, Jillianne was eventually found safe and sound, which was celebrated in a press release.
Public support and thanks from the police
The South Bruce OPP specifically thanked the public for their help in finding Jillianne, while also calling for the removal of all photographs released in connection with the case. This is the second time Jillianne has been reported missing. She originally went missing on April 28 and was found only a short time later, showing that her movements are often a cause for concern.
Jillianne is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. In addition to their general description, their known connections in the Greater Toronto Area were also highlighted, which may help clarify their whereabouts.
