Köngen beats Waldstetten with dramatic goals in the final phase!

In the top soccer state league game on October 13, 2025, TSV Köngen triumphed over TSGV Waldstetten with an exciting 3:2 (1:1). This victory, which marks the seventh win of the season for the Köngeners, comes just a week after their first defeat of the season. Player-coach Domenic Brück commented that “everything was going against us,” underlining his team’s struggles despite their eventual success.

During the first half, the Köngeners had to battle with injuries on several occasions. Dennis Vrljicak and Nick Widmann were injured, resulting in seven minutes of injury time. Vrljicak left the game due to a long-term injury, which further complicated the visitors' situation.

Drama on the pitch

The opening phase of the game belonged to the hosts from Waldstetten, who appeared structured and calm. Tim Schraml had a header chance in the 6th minute, which was parried by Köngen goalkeeper Fynn Köstle. Despite their superiority, Waldstetten was initially unable to score any goals. In the 31st minute, TSV Köngen countered strongly when Toni Panne made it 0-1.

However, Waldstetten remained combative. The hosts' biggest chance came in the 37th minute, when Vasic's shot landed on the side netting. Shortly before halftime, Liam Eisele managed to equalize 1-1 with a header in the 45th + 6th minute. In the second half, Dominik Pfeifer went to the penalty spot in the 50th minute and made it 2-1 for Waldstetten.

Exciting final phase

The game was exciting and competitive until the 85th minute, but then the tide turned. Yannik Kögler equalized to make it 2-2 for TSV Köngen, just two minutes before Simon Prinz scored the winning goal to make it 3-2 in the 87th minute. Despite the bitter defeat, TSGV coach Patrick Krätschmer described his team's performance as at least equal and expressed his regret about the result.

With this defeat, Waldstetten has to put its ambitions of jumping to the top of the table on hold for the time being. The next challenge awaits both teams in the coming weeks, when it is important to continue to score points in the national league and build up a positive form.
