Feelings of happiness in the Seetal: 60 new farmers celebrate their end!

On Tuesday, a total of 60 graduates celebrated their successful completion at the Nature and Nutrition Vocational Training Center (BBZN) in Hohenrain. Among the newly graduated are 54 farmers who received the federal ability ID (EFZ) after three years of training. The graduates from the Seetal, eight of whom celebrated their graduation at the BBZN, deserve special mention.

Six agricultural practitioners also received the Federal Professional Sight (EBA) after a two-year training at the vocational and further education center (BWZ) Obwalden. A remarkable graduate from this group is Simon Elmiger from Ermensee, who was awarded a certificate of honor for his achievements. His grade of 5.6 rewardes the outstanding contributions to his training area.

special awards and honors

The celebrations not only included the handover of the diplomas, but also honors for particularly successful graduates. 13 graduates received a certificate of honor for grades from 5.4; Including Chiara Hartmann and Chiara Vogel from the Seetal. Chiara Hartmann was also awarded the goodwill prize of the former association of the Lucerne agricultural and farmers' school.

Speaking of awards: Lukas Krummenacher from Eich was able to secure the title of the best graduate with a grade of 5.7 and received the traditional trees. In his speech, Renato Isella, Rector of the BBZN Hohenrain, praised the achievements of the graduates and emphasized the responsibility that they will take on in the nutritional system.

important speeches and farewells

The celebrating speeches included contributions by Gisela Widmer Reichlin, the Cantonal Council President, Markus Kretz, the President of the Lucerne Farmers' Association, and Daniel Preckel, head of the vocational and further education department. The latter also paid tribute to Markus Höltschi, the outgoing Vice -Rector of the BBZN, who worked at the institution for 34 years.

The training as an agricultural practitioner, who completes after two years with the Federal Professional Point test, is aimed at interested parties with pronounced practical skills. A trial apprenticeship on the future training company is often recommended. Apprenticeships are available in the canton of Aargau and the teaching contracts must be signed and approved before the start. After completing the EBA, it is possible to enter the second year of training as a farmer EFZ directly, which can pave the way into a diverse professional future.
