Career information fair on October 21st: Your future awaits in Leinfelden!
The 21st joint career information fair between the cities of Filderstadt and Leinfelden-Echterdingen is approaching. It will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Filderhalle in Leinfelden. 108 companies, institutions and universities from the region will be presenting at the trade fair, offering a wide range of training careers. This includes both traditional professions and future-oriented technologies.
Despite the current economic uncertainties, the participating companies show a strong commitment to training young talent. What is particularly noteworthy is that many exhibitors bring current trainees with them in order to promote personal exchange. This offers visitors the opportunity to gain direct insights into the training professions and to ask questions directly to the young specialists.
Career orientation and networking opportunities
The trade fair not only offers students the opportunity to get to know various training opportunities, but also to discover dual study programs at large companies and regional “hidden champions”. The event has been organized in collaboration with schools and companies since 2004 and has established itself as an important platform for securing skilled workers.
To ensure that things run smoothly, the trade fair will be organized with a one-way system and controlled entry for school classes, so that over 1,100 young people can be safely guided. Parents are also warmly invited to visit the fair. The organizers offer digital information via the website www.bdz-le.de which includes exhibitor portraits and informative videos.
Direct contact with HR managers
The fair enables direct contact with human resources managers, which is a valuable opportunity for many students. Here you can obtain information about potential training positions or suitable universities and technical colleges, which is often difficult to obtain via websites or social media. These personal encounters help to provide a precise picture of the requirements for applications and to make initial contacts, which is of great importance when starting your career.
If you feel unsafe, you should not hesitate to bring parents or someone you trust with you for support. Valuable experience and information can be gained at the stands that will help young people with their career orientation.
