Serious accident on the A9: traffic jam of three kilometers near Kinding!

On Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025, an accident occurred on the A9, causing significant traffic delays. At around 10:15 a.m. there was a collision between a car and a truck between Altmühltahl and Denkendorf in the Eichstätt district. The police confirmed that both types of vehicle were involved in the accident and that a patrol is currently on site to clarify the situation.

As Donaukurier reports, two lanes were closed because operating materials were leaking. There is currently no information on possible injuries. Tow trucks are already on their way to remove the vehicles.

Traffic situation and traffic jams

The traffic situation is critical as a backlog of around three kilometers has now formed. The duration of the traffic disruptions remains uncertain. If it is possible to quickly bind the leaking operating materials, it could be possible to release the traces more quickly.

The A9 is one of the most important traffic arteries in Germany and connects Berlin with Munich. Information about current traffic situations and accidents on this highway is often provided by the police and fire departments.
