RCO unicycle teams dominate district championships – title for the region!
The district championships in unicycling last weekend brought great success for the unicycle teams of the Oberesslingen Cycling Club (RCO). On June 3, 2025 they report Stuttgart News that the RCO teams were able to win the titles in both 4-person and 6-person unicycling. This is a testament to the strong performance and dedicated training of the athletes.
In addition to the success in unicycling, the title in 4-man artistic cycling also went to RKV Denkendorf. The elite district championships were organized by RC Oberesslingen, which plays an important role in the organization of these competitions. The participants showed outstanding early form at this early point in the competition year. Thanks to their achievements, many of them were able to qualify for further competitions.
Training offerings and leisure activities
The RC Oberesslingen not only offers high-class competitions, but also an extensive training program for those interested in unicycles and cycleball. The training times are clearly structured: students train on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., while juniors train from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The elite of unicycling will also be preparing for competitions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. This offer promotes skills and social interaction in sport.
The training takes place in the Oberesslingen gym and assembly hall, Schorndorfer Str 48, 73730 Esslingen. In a family atmosphere, participants can do sports and discover leisure activities. This includes, among other things, participation in City Cycling 2025, which starts on May 12th, for which those interested can register stadtradeln.de/esslingen can log in.
Important competition dates
There are some important events planned for the coming weeks, including the German championship for students in unicycle and cycling sports, which will take place on June 14th and 15th, 2025. Other dates include the Elite Unicycle District Championship on July 6th and the Baden-Württemberg Elite Unicycle Championship on July 27th, 2025. These events offer athletes the opportunity to compete at a higher level and further develop their skills.
