Last Saturday, TSV Notzingen celebrated their long-awaited promotion to the district league A after the team triumphed 6-2 in the decisive relegation game against VfB Oberesslingen/Zell. The game, which took place on the grass of the sports field, took place under optimal conditions: high temperatures, a large number of spectators and excellent pitch conditions made for an impressive backdrop.

Notzingen, second in the B-2 league, showed a strong performance from the start and consequently took the lead with a goal in the 19th minute. Just five minutes later the team increased it to 2-0, and at halftime it was already 3-1. VfB Oberesslingen/Zell, which was in a critical relegation position of 14th in KLA 1, almost had to accept relegation to the B league after this defeat.

The entire TSV Notzingen team contributed to this important victory, but the goals came from several players: the first goal came in the 19th minute, followed by two more in the 24th and 52nd minutes. The highlight came in the 61st minute when Notzingen made it 4-1, before they added goals in the 80th and 82nd minutes to make the final score 6-2. Oberesslingen/Zell could only celebrate twice in the 24th and 72nd minutes.

Coach Alex Wollmann was overjoyed after the game and described the promotion as a great success for the team. With a total of 700 spectators, the support from the stands was remarkable and the post-match celebrations were correspondingly boisterous.

Despite the disappointment of relegation, VfB Oberesslingen/Zell remains hopeful that 1. FC Eislingen will win against SpVgg Holzgerlingen next Sunday to avoid relegation.
