Stafflangen Music Association inspires on a trip to the wine festival in Besigheim
The Stafflangen Music Association went on an unforgettable excursion in brilliant weather, which took the participants along the picturesque rivers Enz and Neckar. Amidst the autumnal colors, the musicians and their guests experienced a varied tour that began with an environmentally friendly boat trip. This was carried out using environmentally friendly solar and electric power and included a fascinating tour of the locks before the boat continued its journey to the picturesque Inseleckar (Insee).
The first destination was the beer garden of the Rettich Bar in Deizisau, where the Stafflangen music band gave a rousing concert. With pleasant temperatures and bright sunshine, guests enjoyed both the music and the views that this idyllic setting offered.
Besigheim and the wine festival
The music club's trip then led to the traditional wine festival in Besigheim, which is celebrating a special anniversary this year. For 75 years, this festival has attracted around 80,000 visitors every year, who can enjoy the wine selection from Felsengartenkellerei Besigheim and local clubs. The old town of Besigheim, known for its charming half-timbered houses and winding streets, forms the picturesque backdrop for the celebrations.
The wine festival took place from September 19th to 22nd, 2025 and started with the ceremonial opening by Mayor Dr. Florian Bargmann, where the new Besigheim wine princess was crowned. The highlight of the festival are the musical performances on two main stages, including the band “CAMPUS” and numerous wine stands, which make the wine village on the Kelterplatz a central focal point.
Diverse program and attractions
The supporting program of the wine festival offered a variety of attractions. Visitors were able to experience historic old town tours, while the fishing jousting on the Enz on Saturday provided excitement. Musical contributions from various bands, including the Mundelsheim Music Association, contributed to the festive atmosphere. On Sunday, an ecumenical service and an impressive parade under the motto “75 Years of the Besigheim Wine Festival” rounded off the great weekend. The crowning finale was a brilliant fireworks display that shone over the historic city center.
Besigheim, with its 13,000 inhabitants, is not only a great place for festivities, but also an ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding area. Shuttle buses to neighboring communities made it easier for guests to travel. The fare for adults was 4 euros, children up to 12 years only paid 2 euros, which made participation in the wine festival events attractive for the whole family.
