Culture weeks in Nürtingen: A festival for children and young people!
The seventh children's and youth culture weeks will take place in Nürtingen from October 20th to November 2nd, 2025. Under the motto “We do something!” The varied program is aimed at children and young people between the ages of three and 18. The series is organized by the Nürtinger Cultural Office in collaboration with nine independent cultural institutions in the city. In recent years there have been over 1,000 participants. The event offers a variety of courses, readings, plays and hands-on activities at different cultural locations.
The opening ceremony begins on October 20th with the play “Winnie the Pooh and his friends” in the Panorama Hall of the K3N town hall. In the first week, the offers are aimed primarily at groups such as kindergartens and school classes. The second week offers greater freedom so that participants can choose individually from a variety of offers.
Diversity and program highlights
With a record number of 38 offerings and two additional activities, this year's program stands out. The highlights include tours with the Stadtknecht on October 26th, the play “Monster from the Blue Planet” on October 24th and the performance of “Ghost Hunters on the Icy Trail” on October 27th. The program also includes turnip ghost carving in the Beuren open-air museum on October 26th and a comic drawing course in the family home on October 30th.
A special highlight for families is the play “Beauty and the Beast” on October 29th at 3:30 p.m., which will be presented by the Landestheater Tübingen in a fairy tale adaptation by Anne-Kathrin Klatt. The cultural weeks conclude on November 8th with the play “The Three Little Pigs” in the same venue.
