SV Böblingen relies on talent: Five U19 players are moving up to the men's team!
SV Böblingen is planning several changes to the squad for the coming season in the national soccer league, season II. On June 16, 2025, it was announced that the club was recruiting five talented players from its own U19 into the men's team. Among these players is Salih Hoxhaj, who is considered one of the club's most promising young talents. The club once again relies on its own talents and emphasizes the importance of youth work for sporting development.
Squad planning is progressing and SV Böblingen is also introducing several new additions. The focus is on young players from our own youth as well as experienced kickers from the region. This was recently revealed in a press release in which seven new players were introduced for the 2024/25 season, including Mats Schrade, Manuel Anastacio, Felipe Arellano Torres, Lennart Häßler, Simon Becker, Nils Hesmer and Adnan Rastoder. These commitments are intended not only to strengthen the current squad, but also to promote the long-term development of the players, according to sporting director Marco Gallo.
Importance of youth work
In a further step in squad planning, the club has announced that three additional newcomers will be integrated into the team from July 1, 2024. These are Anton Lendl, Emre Topal and Marvin Beck. Lendl is described as a thoroughbred striker who is a goal threat in the national league. Emre Topal also brings valuable experience from the association league to midfield, while Marvin Beck can impress with his variability in the wing positions.
Daniel Fredel, a person in charge of SV Böblingen, emphasizes that the integration of seven players born in 2005 into the men's area was successful. Coach Thomas Siegmund is pleased about the upcoming collaboration with these talented players. It is clear that SV Böblingen is pursuing a long-term strategy to optimally integrate its own youth into the men's area and thus lay the foundation for future success.
SV Böblingen is determined to take the next steps on its path in the national league, while at the same time emphasizing the value and importance of its youth department. This approach is intended to ensure that the club remains competitive in the future while giving young talent a chance to prove themselves at a higher level. The detailed squad planning shows how seriously SV Böblingen pursues its goal of both short-term success and sustainable development.
