Sindelfingen on the move: 900 children conquer the Glass Palace!

On June 26, 2025, the Sindelfingen Glass Palace experienced a lively day of action under the motto "Join in. Get fit." This 17th fitness day, also known as “Sindelfingen on the move”, attracted around 900 children and young people from various schools and daycare centers in the city. The event provided an excellent opportunity for the young participants to become familiar with a variety of sports and get active. Stuttgart News reported that the noise level in the Glass Palace increased around 11:30 a.m. as the children eagerly participated in the various stations.

24 different sports stations were arranged in eight “exercise islands”, with each island combining several sports. The focus was on incorporating a wide range of sporting activities, and the children had the opportunity to actively experiment and discover new talents. The event not only promoted fitness, but also team spirit and the joy of sport. SZBZ reports that the children involved were enthusiastic about the offers.

Sporting activities and highlights

Particularly noteworthy was the ski slope on offer, which was particularly well received by the younger participants. In addition to this attraction, the children were able to choose from various other sports, which made this day exciting and varied. Another highlight of the day was the second “Superdance”, which was organized at the end for a group of around 300 children. Under the direction of dance trainer Linda Dunkel, the little athletes danced to popular summer hits such as “Danza Kuduro” and “Ab in den Süd”.

The mixture of sport, exercise and music created a happy atmosphere in the glass palace, which filled both children and the carers with enthusiasm. This initiative not only helps promote physical fitness, but also supports social interactions and togetherness among children, which is particularly valuable in our increasingly digitalized world.

The fitness day in Sindelfingen has established itself as an integral part of the year and will continue to be a catalyst for young sports enthusiasts in the region. Such events are crucial in raising awareness of an active lifestyle and encouraging children to integrate sport and exercise as an integral part of their lives.
