On October 6, 2025, District Administrator Roland Bernhard, Mayor Helena Österle and district economic promoter Dr. Sascha Meßmer paid a visit to the headquarters of the Renz Group in Aidlingen. The Renz Group has specialized in the development of real estate concepts and modern working environments for over 40 years. Their offers include a comprehensive analysis, conception and industrial production of all finishing trades, not only in Germany but also internationally. Bernhard described the company, which was founded by Jochen Renz, a trained physicist and expert in integral construction, as a “hidden champion” and an outstanding research company.

The Renz Group places particular emphasis on solutions that optimize acoustics, light and indoor climate for modern buildings. Jochen Renz chose the Böblingen district for research and development 44 years ago because this region offers a high density of universities and skilled workers. In times of change, Renz focuses on creating regional impetus for a carbon-free future in construction.

Innovative construction approaches

As part of the visit, the new research and demonstration building in Aidlingen was also viewed. This modern structure uses natural temperature differences, optimized climate modules and innovative storage technology to use energy efficiently. The heating and air conditioning is free of CO₂ and external energy, which makes a significant contribution to reducing the ecological footprint.

Renz offers solutions for both residential properties and commercial properties such as offices, production facilities and clinics. The products are suitable for both new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings. The company follows an integral construction method that covers 18 trades, from planning to implementation and integrated solution.

Technological leadership

The team at Renz Solutions, a subsidiary of the Renz Group, developed a novel UV-C module during the corona pandemic. This module enables air conditioning systems to rid the air of bacteria and viruses, demonstrating the company's commitment to providing innovative solutions in times of health challenges.

Renz's integral approach also radically changes the way interior work is carried out. The aim is to switch from an artisanal to an industrial approach, which is not only more environmentally friendly but also saves materials. Engineers at Renz Solutions work on a holistic concept that is supported by our own developments and the installation of integral products. In addition, the company operates its own laboratories and test benches in order to remain a technological leader in the areas of sound, light and facade design.

For the future, Renz Solutions plans to digitalize the process of creating offers in order to build even more economically and effectively. The trust in the innovative power of the Renz Group is also clearly noticeable when District Administrator Bernhard and his team founded the club.
