Schönaicher Straße in Böblingen is currently the subject of extensive renovation work that has been carried out since last summer. The second construction phase is currently underway between Achalmstrasse/Schönbuchstrasse and Brunnenstrasse and will be completed by the end of May 2025. From Monday, June 2, 2025, the third construction phase will begin in the Schönaicher Straße “Nord” area, which will present residents with new challenges.
Overall, Schönaicher Straße between Brunnenstraße and Kalkofenstraße will be completely closed in three construction phases until the end of July 2025. During this time, the water and gas pipes will be replaced and the street lighting will be replaced. The program also includes the renovation of several sewage shafts and the asphalting of the road and sidewalk surfaces. The diversion will be signposted via Brunnenstraße and Spielbergstraße in order to redirect traffic accordingly and enable safe passage for pedestrians, reports Krzbb.

However, the renovation work is not the only construction site in Böblingen. Another important construction site is Wolf-Hirth-Straße, which will be completely closed in two construction phases from Monday, May 26th to Friday, June 20th, 2025. Work on the power connection for the airfield clinic and renovation of the road surface are being carried out here. Safe passage is guaranteed for pedestrians.
In addition, half of Talstrasse in the direction of the train station will be closed from Tuesday, June 10th to Monday, June 23rd, 2025 in order to install a new water connection. Construction work is also taking place on Ulmenstrasse, which will result in a complete closure from Monday, May 19th to Monday, June 9th, 2025. This work serves to install electricity and water connections.
