The German artistic cycling championship is just around the corner and the athletes from the Böblingen region are ready to put their skills to the test. Patrick Tisch and Julia Hämmerli from RV Pfeil Magstadt are competing in Lübbecke, North Rhine-Westphalia. After an impressive performance at the last German Masters, where they reached the final for the first time, they are considered an insider tip for the medal awarding. Their participation represents a special challenge: the two athletes have the longest journey because they live in Switzerland.
“We are planning to run our program without any relegations,” said Tisch and Hämmerli, who were able to shine with a high score. Next to them, Simon Töpfer from RSV Öschelbronn represents the Böblingen district. He also has great ambitions: Quifer is not only fighting for a national medal, but also for the place as a World Cup substitute driver. In order to achieve this goal, he has to catch up by around 30 points and has prepared accordingly.

The mood among the athletes is tense, but Töpfer definitely sees a chance of a place on the podium, as the competition's points scores are close together. He is also aiming to get to the final and achieve a strong result. “Surprises at the championship are possible, based on experiences from previous years,” emphasizes a coach, adding that no one should underestimate the starters from Böblingen.
