Anniversary game in Haslach: SG H2Ku meets HBW Balingen-Weilstetten!

On June 26, 2025, the handball players of SG H2Ku Herrenberg will play an important anniversary game against the second division team HBW Balingen-Weilstetten. The encounter takes place in Haslach, where the town is celebrating its 1250th anniversary. Handball played an important but not decisive role in the history of Haslach. Nevertheless, the SG H2Ku Herrenberg is actively celebrating, as the traditional TV Haslach has been integrated into the club and is thus continuing the city's sporting heritage. This was done by krzbb.de reported.

In the run-up to the anniversary game, SG H2Ku Herrenberg has put a lot of effort into the 2023/2024 handball season. The preparation was particularly important because the youth teams were severely affected in the previous two seasons due to Corona. Currently, 23 youth teams from SG H2Ku are taking part in the games, in which around 420 children and young people are looked after by 60 trainers. This shows the great commitment of the club and the development in the youth sector sgh2ku.com is documented.

Development of the handball school

The SG H2Ku handball school is now entering its fourth season. The team around Marcel Kohler remains on board, while some coaching positions are still vacant. A central goal of the school is to install a licensed coach in every team, which is being achieved increasingly successfully. In the past two years, seven new licensed trainers have been trained, increasing the focus on the quality of training.

The youth teams have been preparing intensively for the upcoming indoor round over the last few months. The start takes place with two teams at HVW level and also one team at district level in the age groups C to A-Youth. The D youth teams are evenly distributed across competitive divisions and achieved success at the district game festival, which is rewarded with a special day at the Tripsdrill amusement park.

The SG H2Ku particularly promotes the playing ability, the further coordination development and the athleticism of its players. In order to strengthen team building, a group took part in the Allgäu Cup with two large buses and overnight stays in large tents. In addition, young talents compete in various formats such as talent competitions and a combination round on the small field.

In order to ensure the continuous development of the handball school, the club is looking for supporters and new trainers. Newcomers who are willing to get involved are also very welcome. The club hopes for a nice, exciting and injury-free winter season 2023/2024.
