The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) has published its current assessment of the world's best universities. According to merkur.de, almost 21,500 universities were analyzed, which is around 500 more than the previous year. The results provide valuable insights into the quality of teaching, research and the professional success of graduates. The University of Stuttgart has once again secured a place among the best universities in the world.
In the overall ranking, the University of Stuttgart takes 555th place out of 21,462 evaluated institutions. This positioning places them in the top 2.6 percent worldwide. In the “Teaching” category it even ranks 133rd, making it one of the best 0.6 percent. The university also ranks a respectable 431st in terms of the professional success of its graduates, which puts it in the top two percent of universities in this area.
Research performance in international comparison
The University of Stuttgart's research performance is ranked 584th, which puts it in the top 2.7 percent worldwide. The criteria of quality of teaching, professional success of graduates and research performance are incorporated into the overall evaluation to varying degrees. At 40 percent, research performance has the highest influence on the overall result, while the quality of teaching and the professional success of the graduates are each rated at 25 percent.
