Vintage car parade and festival: LeoMotor Classic brings the old town to life!
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the 27th LeoMotor Classic classic car meeting will take place in Leonberg's old town. The event is organized by the Leonberg Old Town Advertising Association and promises to be a highlight for classic car lovers and the entire region. This year, the marketplace will be filled with a variety of restored vehicles throughout the day for spectators to marvel at.
The event begins at 10 a.m. with the arrival of the participants and the handing out of travel documents. The traditional tour through the region begins at 11 a.m. and covers a distance of around 90 to 100 kilometers. This route was developed by Carsten Neugebauer and Stephan Schneider. Along the route, the drivers also have to answer tricky questions that are handed out together with the starting documents.
A colorful supporting program
The event not only includes the vintage car ride, but also an entertaining supporting program. At 10 a.m. there will be a festive service on the church square, followed by musical performances by the band “The Hot Jazz Rewinders” and a children's program by the CVJM. Culinary delights are also provided: visitors can look forward to food and drink on the church square before the event ends with a final concert in the town church at 3 p.m.
The awards ceremony, which will take place at 4 p.m. on the market square, will honor the best vehicles and the participants with the most original costumes. The vehicles will be judged in separate categories for cars and motorcycles, and a special “Haute Couture Prize” will be awarded for particularly creative styling. The registration fee is 45 euros, although registrations are also possible on the day of the event.
Sunday shopping and other activities
Parallel to the LeoMotor Classic, the shops in Leonberg's old town will be open for shopping on a Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Here visitors can win vouchers given out by the stores. These vouchers will be distributed as prizes for the winners of the event.
The LeoMotor Classic has a long tradition, which was founded in 1997 by Dieter Schmauder. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the event will return in all its glory in 2025, attracting both participants and spectators with a varied program.
