Burglars attack Waiblingen – residents injured when they return!
There was a burglary in the town of Waiblingen on Saturday evening, October 11th, in which the two perpetrators, who are currently unknown, slightly injured a resident of the house. According to a police report published by ZVW, the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in a single-family home on Lerchenstrasse.
The perpetrators first broke into an apartment in the house and ransacked it. While the burglars then went into the apartment above, the resident came home and surprised the uninvited guests. This resulted in him being slightly injured in the altercation before the burglars fled.
Investigations and other incidents in Waiblingen
The local police have started investigating this incident and are appealing to the public to report information about the perpetrators. This is not the only incident that concerns the law enforcement officers in Waiblingen. On the same day, just a few hours after the break-in, another incident occurred in the city. Between Sunday, 10:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:30 a.m., unknown people took action and slashed the roof of a BMW convertible to steal a waiter's wallet. This information also comes from the Presseportal.
In addition, on Monday evening, shortly before 7:30 p.m., there was a violent altercation in a shared accommodation on Inner Weidach Street. A 31-year-old man injured a 19-year-old with a knife and then attacked police officers, who intervened. The situations in Waiblingen illustrate the challenges that the police are faced with.
