Inclusion run in Vaihingen: Team Evaldo raises 4,000 euros for life support!

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the annual inclusion run of Lebenshilfe Vaihingen-Mühlacker took place on the sports field at Egelsee in Vaihingen/Enz. At this event, which has been held in September for 20 years, both runners and walkers were invited to take part in the fundraising run. A total of 6,367 laps were run, with the Evaldo team led by Carlo Morgante emerging as the winner with 3,133 laps and handing over a donation of 4,000 euros to Lebenshilfe.

The weather conditions were mixed, but the drizzle hardly bothered the participants. The inclusion run was open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and aimed to raise money for the nonprofit organization's valuable work. With a 369 meter long cinder track, participants were able to count their laps and thus make an active contribution to inclusion.

Inclusion as a cornerstone of the event

Inclusion means that all people can participate equally in social life, regardless of origin, disability or other characteristics. Lebenshilfe supports this approach in its daily commitment, breaking down barriers to create equal opportunities for everyone. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities calls for equal participation of people with disabilities in all areas of life, a goal that is promoted by events such as the inclusion run. Inclusion in education and the world of work should also be emphasized, as children and adults with and without disabilities can learn and work together.

The inclusion run is therefore not just a sporting event, but also a platform to draw attention to the concerns of people with disabilities and to set an example for solidarity and social cohesion. This is further reinforced by the parallel event in Stuttgart, the Stuttgarter LebenSlauf, which also took place on September 21st and advocated for the rights of LGBTTIQ people.

Beyond the event

Lebenshilfe Vaihingen-Mühlacker is continuously committed to the inclusion and support of people with disabilities. The organization sees diversity not only as a challenge, but as a valuable resource. During the event, opportunities for participation in social life that should be accessible to everyone were also presented.

Overall, the Lebenshilfe inclusion run shows a motivating example of how sport, community and open cooperation can help break down barriers and bring society closer together. Further information about the event and Lebenshilfe can be found on the official Lebenshilfe Vaihingen-Mühlacker website and reflects the goals and values behind inclusion.
