VfR Aalen celebrates a brilliant 5-0 victory – coach remains critical!

On July 5, 2025, VfR Aalen celebrated an impressive 5-0 win in the friendly against SSV Schwäbisch Hall. The game took place in the Lorcher Stadium and was led by coach Beniamino Molinari. After just a few minutes the desire to score was clearly noticeable when Dean Melo scored the first goal in the 8th minute.

Barely a minute later, in the 9th minute, Dean Melo immediately followed up and increased the score to 2-0. The third goal came from Thomas Geyer after a corner in the 16th minute, followed by a penalty goal from Stefan Waechter in the 40th minute. The final point was again scored by Dean Melo in the 42nd minute, who ignited an excellent fireworks display in the first half, in which all five goals were scored.

Change and mixed feelings

The second half, however, was less pleasant for coach Molinari. Despite the clear lead, the coach was dissatisfied with his team's performance. There were a lot of substitutions on both sides, which affected the dynamics of the game. The debut of new signing Vico Meien, who came into the game in the second half, was exciting.

The VfR Aalen line-up was as follows: Wick in goal, supported by Döringer, Geyer, Schaupp, Sulejmani, Kariman, Campagna, Maksimovic, Melo, and Kienle. Two changes at half-time brought fresh players into the game.

Social commitment of VfR Aalen

VfR Aalen's next test match is scheduled for Wednesday in Waldstetten at 7 p.m. The team will continue to work towards their form as they prepare for the upcoming season.
