Burglary in care facility: Witnesses sought after furniture safe theft!
Last night there was a break-in at a care facility in Assamstadt, in which the perpetrators stole an entire furniture safe containing over a thousand euros in cash. The police are now looking for witnesses who may have made suspicious observations around the facility. Those affected are asked to contact the Bad Mergentheim police station immediately on 07931 54990 to provide further information and to help with the investigation. This reports Main Echo.
In another incident that occurred on Tuesday morning in Walldürn, there was a traffic accident between two trucks. A 63-year-old driver was driving on Walldürner Straße towards the city center around 6:30 a.m. when an unknown truck came towards him in the middle of the road. Despite an evasive maneuver, the driver was unable to prevent the mirrors of the two vehicles from colliding and being damaged. The unknown truck, described as a 7.5 to 12 tonne truck with a white tarpaulin, continued its journey after the collision without stopping.
Cooperation with the police
The Tauberbischofsheim police are also looking for witnesses who observed the collision or who can provide information about the unknown truck. They can call 09341 810. The incident highlights the need to be particularly vigilant when it comes to road safety.
Traffic accidents, especially those involving hazardous substances, can have serious consequences. An example of this is an incident on August 8, 2019, in which a traffic accident occurred between a small van and a truck loaded with dangerous goods on the BAB7 motorway near the Großburgwedel junction. The Altwarmbüchen fire department was alerted and was fortunately able to determine that the load was not damaged and that there was no danger to the public. This operation, which began at 5:34 a.m. and lasted 1 hour 16 minutes, demonstrates the capabilities and commitment of the fire department in such critical situations. Further details can be found on the website Altwarmbüchen fire department.
