Brettl Festival: Looking forward to the 50th birthday – tickets almost sold out!
In three months, more precisely on September 11, 2025, the Brettl Festival will take place to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Hörbacher Montagsbrettl. Preparations for this anniversary are already in full swing and demand for tickets is already remarkably high. The first evening with Martina Schwarzmann and the D’Bavaresi group is already sold out. There are also only a few places available for other evenings, which underlines the popularity of the festival. Tickets can be purchased on the official festival website brettl-festival.de as well as in advance booking offices in Fürstenfeldbruck and Merching.
For those who want to attend multiple events, there is the option to purchase season tickets, which offer two free evenings compared to single tickets. An additional advantage of these season tickets is that they are transferable, so that friends and acquaintances can also enjoy entertaining evenings. The last regular Brettl before the festival will take place on June 30th at the Gasthaus Eberl in Hattenhofen, with Christian Maier as a guest. A summer break will take place on August 1st, but planning for the festival in September continues in parallel.
The history of the Monday board
The Hörbacher Montagsbrettl has a long tradition that began 50 years ago in the Gasthof Sandmeir in Hörbach, outside of Munich. It is the oldest cabaret still in existence in Bavaria and has provided a platform for many artists over the years. The Monday Brettl's programs ranged from political and social issues to musical performances and linguistic debates. This cultural work always took place without public subsidies, which underlines the independence and commitment of the organizers.
The story of the creation of the Montagsbrettl is presented humorously and is evidence of a lively, creative community that continues to be open to new talents and artistic expressions.
