Brazen robbery in Kirchheim: perpetrators film their attack!

There was a brutal robbery in Kirchheim am Neckar on Sunday evening. At around 11:45 p.m., a 25-year-old man was attacked by several perpetrators in the parking lot of the Ludwig-Uhland-Gymnasium. The perpetrators, four to five males, apparently lured their victim to the parking lot under a false pretext, where they used force to force him to hand over his cell phone. What is worrying is that the attackers filmed the entire attack using the victim's cell phone, as the Stuttgart News report.

During the attack, the victim was able to escape to a nearby restaurant and alert the police there. Despite an immediate search, the perpetrators remained undetected for the time being. The police are now looking for witnesses who may have observed suspicious people or vehicles near the crime scene. Information can be given to the criminal police on 0711/39 90-330.

Connection to previous raids

The current investigation is examining a possible connection with a similar attack that took place on Jesinger Strasse on March 9th. There, too, there could be parallels to the actions of the perpetrators, who are still in the dark about the police's grid.

Another incident in Kirchheim am Neckar, possibly related to these raids, occurred on May 19th. Several unknown perpetrators rang the doorbell of a residential building on Brackenheimer Strasse and overpowered both a 37-year-old woman and her 40-year-old husband. Under the threat of a firearm, they demanded cash and valuables from the five occupants of the house and were able to escape with loot worth several thousand euros. The Ludwigsburg24 notes that surveillance camera footage is available that may show the suspects.

Reward for clues

The police have offered a reward of 3,000 euros for information that leads to the identification or capture of the perpetrators. This is aimed exclusively at private individuals and not at officials or those involved in the crime. The payment will be made after the criminal offense has been legally resolved. Witnesses can pass on their information to the criminal police on 0800 1100225.

In view of the acts of violence in the region, the citizen warning must continue to be maintained and the police are relying on the public's help to combat this crime and bring the perpetrators to account.
