Shy tomcat Leo is looking for patient people for a new home!
Leo the cat has been living in the Böblingen animal shelter since March 2025 and is waiting for a loving home. The shy tomcat needs patient people who are willing to give him time to gain trust. Once he gets used to it, he becomes a cuddly cat. Leo, who will celebrate his second birthday next July, is neutered and has striking gray tiger fur with sand-colored accents and light markings around his eyes. His piercing, alert eyes reflect his attentive nature.
However, his history is not entirely unproblematic. In his previous home, Leo showed signs of stress and suffered from health problems such as diarrhea. Fortunately, his digestion in the shelter is unremarkable, which gives hope for a positive development. To ensure that Leo is comfortable, it is important that he is not placed in a home with small children, as this could put additional stress on the cat.
Special features and requirements
Leo lives in the animal shelter in a room with other cats. Theoretically, he could get along with a well-socialized cat, but living together could also go wrong. In addition, Leo should have the opportunity to go outside in his new home, but so far he has little experience with the outside world. Particular attention should also be paid to ensuring that his new home is not close to busy roads or train tracks. Cat stairs or stairwells could also overwhelm him.
Before being released, Leo has to get used to his new surroundings thoroughly. Anyone interested in offering Leo a home can send an email to katzen@boeblinger-tierschutz.de Send and download a self-disclosure from the animal shelter's website.
But Leo is not the only cat waiting to be found. The delicate and sensitive cat Ally is also looking for a quiet home. She comes from an animal hoarding case with over 100 cats and is also neutered. Ally was born in 2022 and is a European Shorthair who would like to enjoy freedom in a safe environment as a second cat. This sensitive cat shows a lot of caution towards people and needs patient owners who give her time to gain trust. She lives well with other cats and can be adopted together with her fellow cat Maila.
For more information about Ally, those interested can also email katzen@boeblinger-tierschutz.de send.
